Technical Overview

Optimized for NV Center Quantum Sensing & ODMR Experiments

Product Overview

The NV Center Antenna is a compact, high-performance microwave antenna specifically designed for nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center experiments in diamond. Operating at a resonant frequency of 2.87 GHz, the antenna ensures reliable excitation of NV electronic spin transitions, with exceptional field homogeneity and polarization control.

The design incorporates a square central aperture to host diamonds up to 4 × 4 × 0.5 mm³, enabling seamless integration with a wide range of NV quantum devices. With support for both linear and circular polarization, the antenna provides flexible microwave delivery for high-fidelity quantum control.

Key Features

·        Resonant Frequency: 2.87 GHz

·        Broad Bandwidth: 400 MHz, ensuring stable performance across NV transitions

·        High Field Uniformity: Up to 96.8% homogeneous microwave region (~42 mm³)

·        Polarization Flexibility: circular (single port, 90° phase shift)

·        Low Return Loss: S11 = −23.45 dB at 2.8756 GHz

·        Efficient Drive: Strong microwave magnetic field with minimal input power (10 mW → 0.02818 A/m)

·        PCB Material: FR4 (ϵr = 4.4)

Applications

·        ODMR (Optically Detected Magnetic Resonance) of NV centers

·        Quantum sensing and magnetometry

·        Quantum spin control experiments

·        Large-scale NV ensemble measurements

·        NV center-based time-keeping and quantum information

The NV Center Microwave Antenna combines precision engineering with quantum-grade performance. Delivering broad bandwidth, excellent uniformity, and easy integration, it is the ideal choice for next-generation NV experiments.
